Legenda związana z Krakowskim Kazimierzem opowiada o żydowskim weselu, które odbywało się w piątek. Zabawa weselna przedłużyła się do późnego wieczoru a przez to zbezczeszczono Szabat - i nagle całe wesele zapadło się pod ziemię. W tym miejscu istniał potem przez długi czas cmentarz żydowski. Obecnie jest to ogrodzony, niezabudowany teren na środku ulicy Szerokiej, porośnięty jedynie drzewami.

Wedding Blessings.

The legend from Krakow tells that there was once a Jewish wedding on Friday. During dancing and merry the guests forgot about the Shabbat and they did not stop the wedding dances. Because they desecrated the Shabbat - suddenly the whole wedding collapsed under the earth. After that there used to be a Jewish graveyard in that place for a long time. Until today it remained as a small hedged and unbuilt area in the middle of a Sheroka street in Krakow's Kazimierz.
